Whats the answer to y=(x+2)^2 using a new equation in vertical form a transfer right 4 unit up 2 unit and reflect on x axis

Let's start with the original equation. It is in the form y=a(x-h)^2+k, where (h,k) is the vertex. In this case, h= - 2 and k= 0. Thus, is it y=x^2 and we have done a horizontal translation 2 units to the left. I assume we are going to translate this 4 units to the right, then 2 units up, and then reflect it in the x-axis. Before we do the reflection, we will be 2 units to the right and 2 units up. This equation would be y=(x-2)^2+2. If we reflect this in the x-axis, would we get a downward facing parabola y=-(x-2)^2 -2?

Good luck,

Paul

I was cleaning the dust out of the feed dog area and somehow disconnected the feed dog from the lever in the back that raises it and lowers it. How can I reattache them?

Hello,

A feed system for a sewing machine having a frame, a horizontal arm shaft journalled in said frame, a vertical arm shaft extending downwardly from adjacent said horizontal arm shaft, means rotatably connecting said horizontal arm shaft to said vertical arm shaft, said feed system comprising a cam fixed to said horizontal arm shaft, a sheet metal feed fork having parallel bent over portions at one end thereof embracing said cam and in driving engagement therewith, a feed rock shaft supported in said frame and having an arm connected to the other end of said feed fork, feed regulating means carried by said frame and connected to said feed fork for converting motion induced by said feed cam to oscillations of said rock shaft, said rock shaft being formed with a pair of upright rock arms on the other end thereof, a horizontally disposed U-shaped sheet metal feed dog carrier having each end thereof connected to one of said upright rock arms, said feed dog carrier having a horizontal shelf extending from the base of the U between the ends thereof, said shelf supporting thereon a feed dog, means for attaching said feed dog to said shelf, a stud affixed to said base of said feed dog carrier beneath said shelf, a sheet metal lift lever pivotally supported on a horizontal axis in said frame substantially parallel to said rock shaft, said lift lever having a slotted end for engagement with said stud extending from said feed dog carrier, said lift lever having the other end thereof supporting a cam follower adjacent said vertical cam shaft, and a lift cam removably affixed to said vertical cam shaft and in engagement with said cam follower on said lift lever.

Take care.

Do not have full picture

Not all programs display in correct format. Chosing a stretch option from the TV remote or Cable remote is usually the only option. Aside from going into the menu settings and changing the Horizontal & Vertical axis.

Image problem

IF I understand the problem from the limited info in your question, the problem is a distorted picture on whatever surface [probably a wall, or screen] onto which the image is projected.

With all lenses, the axis [centerline of the lens projected] MUST be absolutely PERPENDICULAR [in both the vertical and horizontal planes] to the perfectly plane [flat] surface onto which the image is projected.

IF for example, the projector is mounted in a rear corner of the room, and the camera is aimed downward and to one side to project the image on the center of the opposite wall, or a screen located there, the image will be distorted. It will be larger on one edge [fartherist from the lens] and smaller on the opposite [nearest] edge.

If it is non-perpendicular in only one axis, then two opposite edges will be different lengths, and if out of perpendicular in two axis then no edges will be the same length.

The solution to this problem is that the center axis of the lens must be perpendicular to the surface projected on, in both vertical and horizontal axis.

What is the focusing screen display?

There are two display modes newly added for the DiMAGE 7i, grid and scale. The grid mode is to show a grid over the entire screen. This makes it easy to align the camera to objects vertically or horizontally. In the scale display mode, horizontal and vertical lines cross at the image center to divide the view to four sections, and each axis is scaled. This function is useful for close-up photography. The grid or scale on display is not recorded.
