When i plug the t.v into the outlet, the red power light comes on. when i press the on/off button the red power light turns off for a few seconds then comes back on, but t.v does not power up. also does the same thing when i press the channel up or down button. i replaced a bad chip on the power circuit board at location IC803. (was the only bad spot i could see on the circuit board). any idea what else might cause this problem? and where can i find replacement parts or circuit boards? Thank You

If the light is red, there's power to show that light. If it IS the power light, you probably just need to press a power button somewhere on the modem. Or turn it off, wait ten minutes, then turn it back on.
Hi there, this information comes straight from Nintendo's website. Anything I'd be typing would basically be repeating what comes from Nintendo directly:
Turn the Wii console power OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the front of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds. After a few seconds have elapsed, plug the cord back into the wall outlet.
Turn the power of the Wii console ON. When you see the Health and Safety screen, open the small flap on the front of the Wii console to find a red button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold the SYNC Button down for 15 seconds. This will clear all the syncs on the Wii, allowing you to get a clean start to begin the process described below.
After holding the SYNC Button on the Wii console down for at least 15 seconds, you can now "re-sync" your Wii Remotes:
With the first Wii Remote you wish to sync, remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to find a small red button just below the batteries.
Press and release the small red button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the blue lights on the front of the Wii Remote will blink.
Quickly press and release the red SYNC button on the inside of the white flap on the front of the Wii console (picture).
When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).
Please check if the power cord is connected properly in the wall outlet and in the TV.
Check the wall outlet. Has it got power?
Check if there is red light when the power is switched on at the wall outlet. If there is red light then press the power button. Does the TV turn on? If not then your power button is defective and requires replacement as it is not making contact.
Also please try to start your TV WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL. At times it helps.
if your battery is dead and your not able to use the adapter to keep it going, its probably a dead ac adapter. is the light where its connected ? light on the box (if it has one), the outlet you are plugged into have power to it ? try another plug
