How to change the lamp housing for the PT-61LCX65.

  • Lorri_H Mar 12, 2009

I have the same problem, I need to know how to change and reset my lamp. I unfortunately am replacing the lamp for the 2nd time now. I am going to try replacing this time on my own due to it costing me over $500 last time by TV Dealer. I am also having problems with color spots that are appearing sporadically on the TV screen. I read that others have had similar problem and the problem may be with EEPROM? What is that and how can I fix that? I'm a recent divorced parent trying to fix things on my own now (lol) so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

When you trun on my panasonic PT-61LCX65 tv it makes no sounds the light blinks green. and then red and turns off. what is wrong. i have looked at the buble and it looks fine.

Hello,

does the TV bring out sound even as the screen display is dark?

How long have you been using this TV and have you ever changed the lamp/bulb? Problem should be from the TV lamp/bulb.
Have the lamp replaced and hopefully, your screen should be perfect as before.

Let me know if you need directions in replacing the lamp, even though it is very simple replace.

Yours sincerely.

PT-61LCX65 lamp light flashing. Believe I need to change lamp and reset? Could you tell me how to reset?

Check the owner's manual to be sure. The troubleshooting section should list the meaning of the flashing lights. Typically this is a bad lamp indicator or a lamp life indicator. The replacemetn lamp should include the instructions for replacing the lamp and resetting the lamp life counter.
