Sounds like the transmission is out. If it fills up and will pump out while spinning? Then more than likely that is it. Or could be the belt underneath. When it aggitates the belt go's in one direction then spin out it go's the other direction and turns the transmission and drum.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer won't aggitate

My Whirlpool WTW6600 had the same problem. The tub no longer floated up and down on the center shaft, so it only spun, not agitated. You must remove the tub (with some effort) and lightly sand / clean the center shaft. Lube it lightly with wheel bearing grease so that after it is reassembled, you can pull the tub upward and feel about 1/2" movement. This will enable the proper gear assembly to engage. It can spin when it rests at the bottom of its travel, but once you fill the tub, it floats, moving upward, and engaging the agitation gear. Good Luck!

I want to replace the aggitator but cant pull it

Some models have a fabric softener dispenser located at the top of the agitator that must be pulled off so you can get access to the fastener that holds the aggitator onto the transmission/motor shaft. Some are just pressed onto the motor shaft and after years of use, get gunked up (yep, that's the technical term for it!). You can pour some hot water down the agitator tube to help flush out the gunk and that should make it easier to remove the agitator.

Also, check along the bottom of the agitator to see if there is a small hole that might be concealing a locking set screw that is holding the agitator onto the shaft. It varies from model to model, so look all over and around the agitator before exerting any force in an attempt to pry it off the shaft.
Try to get your hands under the bottom lip of the agitator at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions and try to rock it back and forth while pulling up and it should work itself free.

Just be sure you have removed any screw or hex headed fastener that could be holding the agitator onto the shaft 1st!

Will not agitate 110 92587210 Kenmore Washer

I have 2 words for you: "dog ears".

the dog aggitation ears are what cause the aggitator to aggitate. Those things wear down and not grab after time.

Pretty easy to change out. You just need to pull the aggitator out and change the 4 little plastic ears. Good luck :)

Washer will not aggitate all other functions work fine

Sounds like you need a set of dogs...(dog agits)...

Pop the top off the agitator and remove the bolt. Pull the agitator top off and inspect the dogs...(small tear drop shaped pieces of nylon)...

Sounds like the dogs lost their bite aka teeth.

Your agitator dogs are worn out.
