Are you sure if the  inducer motor is working?
How did you test it? I believe the problem is with the inducer motor since it didnt turn on even after fixing the control board and also the voltage is fine.

Hi there,

is there an inverter board or a thermocouple in this unit? sounds like you have too much voltage coming to the board. can you measure the voltage to the motor?

My carrier model # 48ss-036100331 induced-draft motor will not start

On some of those inducer motors there is also a capacitor in the blower compartment on the left side of the burner section. It is possible that if you have 230v coming from the board CM terminals and if the motor is new maybe you have a bad capacitor in the blower section. Follow the wires to the capacitor and check microfarad reading to that capacitor. Caution there maybe 2 in this area but one is for the indoor blower motor and the other will be for the draft motor. The blower capacitor may be somewhere between 10 or 15 mfd but the draft inducer capacitor will be around 3 mfd. hope this helps

I have a carrier furnace the control board keeps coming up with differ t led coxes ifiI reset it it works a couple times then flashes a new code had four different codes come up so far 21 22 31 34

Have to know the model and serial of the furnace.
locate code list usually inside or on the back of a door.
Operation sequence= call for heat--inducer blower motor--makes pressure switch--signals board to bring on hsi--after a set time gas valve opens and you have ignition--main blower motor comes on after a set time

Carrier error 42 on model 58MVP080.... is it the inducer motor or control board?

Low pressure sensor fault. Check dc voltage between white and black cable on plug. Multi V: 1 Vdc = 4 bar up to 5 Vdc = 32 bar

Carrier 48sx gas pack. Won't turn on. No smell. No igniting sound. Blower fan works. How do I troubleshoot this?

Remove the panel from the heater section, you will need to watch what happends as there is a call for heat. There may be a light on the control board that lights up or blinks to indicate a call for heat. The inducer blower (exhaust blower) will start. INn a few seconds after the blower starts, the igniter will glow orange. After a few more seconds the gas valve should open and the burner will ignite. If the inducer does not run, you may have a bad motor or control board. If the igniter does not glow, you could have a bad pressure switch, bad pressure switch hose or a broken igniter. If the gas valve does not open, you may have a bad control board or bad gas valve. If you get no light on control board, bad fuse, bad thermostat or bad control board.

Where does the 3 prong inducer plug into? Carrier Weathermaker Model 58SXAO80-GG Serial 1490A02296

Hi, it would either plug into the circuit board/control board, or have a connector of the same, either male or female it would plug directly into. This is a 120 volt inducer motor. Look for the other end of the plastic plug.

I have a Carrier Weathermaker 8000 VS furnace that intermittently has frozen up (the inducer blower stops spinning). Do I need to replace the blower or is there something else that can be done? What is the...

If you can get to the shaft of the motor, oil it using electric motor oil. If the motor spins freely, you just may need to replace the start capacitor, however if it is binding; you will need to replace the inducer as an assembly.

Cycleing,

You are referring to the inducer motor that is kicking on and off. It is probably a limit switch that might be triggering it to go off and on over and over. It could possibly be the board but I highly doubt it since the ac works just fine. It can also be a short in the wiring going to the inducer motor as well or the inducer motor is going bad. Without checking it out myself with a voltage meter, it's hard to pinpoint exactly what is causing the issue but I highly doubt it is the main board. Get a second opinion.

The inducer motor is what takes the cabonmonoxide out of the house from the unit and should not be bypassed

A carrier furnace

check the relay
the primary should have a low resistance
there should be a distinct click when 24 volts is applied to the primary
the secondary should be conductive when the primary is energized (contactors can corrode)
not a solution something to check
