No. However, if it was written to and not closed, then you might still be able to use the unused areas of the disc.
If you want rewritable media, then you will need to use a CD-RW, or a flash drive.

do not format -- you will lose the pictures

instead go to another computer that supports SD memory and CDRW. insert into that computer and then take all the PICS, save into that computer. now take a blank CD and take the saved PICs and burn into CD.
Also, to ensure you dont lose these pictures (PICs) you may want to buy a 4G or 8G USB thumb drive (about $10-$15 or less) -- drag and drop all the PICs (saved on that computer) into the USB thumb drive. Now you have on CD and USB drive.

hope this helps

I have a 2GB scandisk pendrive, I unable to format it, Whenever i tried to format it in command. Msg appered IOCTL call error. how can I format it. Pl help me

Try formatting the flash drive using this method.

Sometimes when a flash memory stick fails because it was not removed from the USB port properly. If the device is removed by just pulling it out of the USB port, it can cause the flash device to fail, you must click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the Task Bar and select the device you wish to remove and only do so when instructed to do so.

When the flash memory device appears to malfunction it maybe possible to restore it by reformatting it. Insert the flash drive into the USB port then Click on Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management.
Then right click on Disk 1 removable drive and click Format. After the flash drive has been formatted it will indicate that it is Healthy.

You need to format the external drive. Format the drive as primary drive and in FAT32. (FAT32 will allow data to be exchanged between MACs and PCs).
Insert the external hard drive into the USB port then Click on Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management.
Then right click on Disk 1 removable drive and click Format. After the flash drive has been formatted it will indicate that it is Health

Your drive's filesystem is corrupted. Easiest solution is to format this drive again. And remember to perform a full format.

NOTE: All data will be lost on this drive if you format it.

If you also want to recover your data. Please download a copy of Hirens' BootCD (http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd) from here and burn it to a CD. Boot with this CD and select a recovery tool.

If found helpful, Kindly rate me.

Waqar
