Mp3 player is recognised by the computer but the mp3 player wont turn on

First, make sure that the MP3 player's (internal) battery is fully charged. Then unplug it (the MP3 player) from the power source and try to power it up. For some MP3 players, you may have to hold down the "power on/off" button down for a few seconds ... or lots more ... until it reboots (light up) and start up.

This isn't really a immediate problem but I have my opal plugged into the computer now ans it won't read it ,it says on the mp3 player usb connected, tried unplugging it and pkugging it back in

The Opal has a reset hole on the back of the unit in which a toothpick (non metallic) can be inserted to reboot the player. If this does not work, I suggest that you reformat the player by using the Windows format command on the unit. To reformat the memory:
Right click on the device within the Explorer or My Computer window
Select the format command (full format) to reformat the internal memory of the device.
Reinstall the firmware from http://download.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads/opal_fwutility_v2.3.0.exe

I unlplugged my mp3 without removing it safely and now its stuck on a message that says please connect player to PC. and i did and it doesnt reconize it.

Unplug your mp3 player again and reboot your computer. Once windows fully loads plug your player back in and it should recognize it. If your player won't recognize at that point run windows update and download all the latest updates and reboot again.

Also, try plugging it in to a different usb port on your computer (somtime that works for me)

The may be a problem with your boot files stored on your MP3 player, try formatting which may fix this problem.

First you go to "Start" - "My Computer" - Now look for something called "Removable Disk" - That is your MP3 Player - Now right-click on it then click "Format" - Now allow format to complete and this should have fixed the problem.

Now you've formatted put some songs on, then unplug then try.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful in someway.
