By HeeHaw on Oct 02, 2008

" "
new Haier 7.2V rechargeable NI-MH battery pack for a new Haier Portable DVD player was stored in a drawer for 2 years until recently. Attemped to recharge battery pack via electrical outlet. Obtained blinking red and green lights on battery pack but was never able to obtain a charge. DVD player works only when pluged into electrical outlet. Please advise. Thank you.

the battery pack is charging but not holding charge beacause it was not used for a long time as you said.try to recharge and completely drain the batteries a couple of times and the batteries should start holding better the charge.Another thing you may want to check is if there is power coming out at teh battery pack connectors(you will need a small volt meter)
