Fuji F650 camera 1yr old. Worked great till the other day I went to turn it on the green light came on but nothing else happened. I recharged the battery but it still does not work. The green light will only stay on for a few minutes then goes out and nothing else happens.

Open and check the breakages if any or dislocation of connectors..

finally!!!! i found somebody with the same problem!!! my camera does the same thing. i havent used it in years and now it does that.
please, please, please, please contact me if you find a solution or something close to a solution.

Hi,

Run the battery all the way down until completely dead and then try recharging. Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries don't develop a "memory" quite like the old nickel cadmium (Ni Cad) batteries

OR

Try taking out the memory card. I had the same problem, but for some reason I had the memory card out and the green lights returned and my camera charges correctly now

Had the same problem, and like mahav said, it was an issue with how my battery was arranged in the camera itself. Adjust the battery, and hopefullyy that will work.

OR

This happened to me. The cause was the battery did not fit into the case, This led to poor connection of the battery. After I fixed the loose battery , it worked perfectly till today.

Lack of use
the battery is completely flattened so will need a total recharge or has even died of neglect.
Get a new battery and use the thing.

okayy well when it came out the first time i Grabbed the Lens and held it till the camera turned off and the lens stayed out i blew on it and i turned it on and it worked =)

there is a option in the menu that turns the camera off after 2min. and then after that it is hard to get started.I took out the rechargable batteries and installed new duracell batteries,and it started and then I went to the menu and disabled the powersaver option.

Check the underside of the battery door. There should be an "L" shaped tab which presses on the shut-off switch. These are often broken off when closing the compartment. If it's broken off, you can defeat the switch by stuffing a piece of paper in it, and then closing the door (with battery installed). If the tab's not broken, you're probably in need of the service department.

camara has been working fine till yesterday, poewer won't turn on, to take pictures, but it turns on when i moved the tab to brouse pictures, bur when I switched it back power won't work

These things are not servicable Simply replace it .

Sorry, no solution. Same problem here. I am very unhappy because initially it took great pictures. The first one I tried only worked a couple of days and I returned to store and they replaced. Second worked a couple of months and now immediately draws down power and won't work on new batteries. I was told to use NH-10 batteries (rechargeable). I did this from the beginning. Still won't hold charge.
