Here is the problem, I have this computer sorta put together (duct tape and all)
It works fine, though I got a virus, so I had to format my c:
After that I unplugged it and moved it. Before fireing it up again I added another RAM stick.
Everything should work... But for some reason my moniter will not pick up.
I've tried everything, every boot-disk, changing the driver... I tested the video card on another computer, and it works fine.
Is it because there is no info on c:? Is there any boot-disk I can download to help fix this?

-   I just received a Dell 1701FP Monitor. I hooked it up to my PC but it does not work. So I unplug it from the pc and just turned it on that way but nothing comes up on the screen. It powers up but I have a black screen. Is ther something I can do, or am I doing something wrong that I know nothing about-   rodneyspiker

the problem is your RAM, you have a bad RAM memory stick. Remove that RAM memory and your PC will boot up again.

Just remove the RAM that you added and start from there.
