Propellerheads Reason 4 - DENIED ACCESS (SAVE AND OPEN)

Ive just bought a new laptop and have transferred over somne reason files to the new one...

installed reaosn 4 and its telling me (on about %30 of them) that the device has denied access when i either try to save or open them...

most of htem work fine apart from a couple that also wont save

any tips?! i really need this to work

    yeah man, both the same version of reason...so shouldnt be a problem or otherwise none of the reason files would load right?

    how would a conflict happen?



    the only thing i can think of is that im now on vista rather than XP...



    but then surely it owuldnt be 50% of the tracks loading it would be none of them right?!

Check if you are able to start Reason without klicking on your sound-projects. If not, you are surely blocked by some graphics driver. I have the same problem and i am downloading updated drivers to my GF 9800GT at the moment. Good luck

    That´s right, it looks like you have a conflict between your new laptop and the reasons.

    Try with the technicians of the software and with the laptop.

My grandpa bought a RCA for me to put all his songs on it. And they are all on the computer and i dont know how to transfer them


There are two ways:
  • From computer. Use micro USB cable,connect it to tablet. Computer will detect the tablet as storage device. Open explorer. Copy your files from computer to tablet in the folder where you want to store/save.

  • Use micro SD card. Insert microSD card to computer/laptop. Copy your files to microSD card. Remove microSD card. Insert it on your tablet. Access the files. To access files on microSD card, you can see on this video :

You also can use flashdisk as a files transfer storage.
If using flashdisk,transfer procedur is same as for microSD.

For whatever reason they blocked you. If you change your devices IP address. That new IP will not be denied.

For PC, there are a few free applications that will pull your license from the registry.

You can try LicenseCrawler or Belarc Advisor. Just follow the installation instructions and run the program, you should be able to retrieve all your license keys from any software installed on your system.

I am trying to deletestuff off my drive but i cant for some reason itis throwing up an error messege....help!? it says access denied...


mabey for some reason someone locked the things to prevent theft or so they didnt get accidentily deleted,and sealed it with an access code for extra caution, check your bios.

you have to save the files using a computer with the same os that u origanlly and then format the drive on the windows seven computer then move the files back on to the drive


another thing to try is to try and update the drivers on your win. 7 computer

the last thing is you have lost all ur data and you should just reformat it

Check that you have the right to use that directory ( home network, non administrator lockout) also that you have not tried tro use either a system or or read only directory. try making a new directory to download to

Cannot restore backup Quickbooks onto new laptop


  1. If your backup file is not on your hard disk or in a network folder, insert the CD, USB flash drive, or other storage device in the appropriate drive.
  2. In QuickBooks, go to the File menu and click Open or Restore Company to open the restore wizard.
  3. Click Restore a backup copy (.qbb) and then click Next.
  4. Click Local backup and then click Next. The Open Backup Copy window opens.
  5. If needed, click the Look in drop-down arrow and navigate to the location where you saved the backup file, which has a .qbb file extension (for example, mycompanyname.qbb).
  6. Select the backup file and click Open.

Acess denied


the reason for this is probably because the backup and restore files for your notebook, reside there and are hidden, although this would only be a small sized partition, you should be able to right click and explore it. If you wish to access it you would have to right click on my computer icon>manage and then click on the partition and format it.
