Question about Audio Players & Recorders
My U87 intermittingly makes a sound i can only describe as 'electronic *******'. like air releasing from a balloon. thoughts?
Might be humidity. It's a condenser microphone and moisture will cause the hiss. I'm in a humid area with a couple of 87s, and that happens regularly. Put it in a closed bag or container with dessicant and it will dry out the diaphragm. Alternatively, shine a lamp with an incandescent bulb on it to dry it up.
