I HAVE A 22"HP MONITOR WITH 1680 X 1050 RESALUTIONS.IT'S ONLY SHOWING 1280 X 960.HOW DO I GET IT TO 1680 X 1050?

Check the cd that comes with your monitor and install it and change the resolutions or check the display drivers that installed properly

It is not compatible with the resolution your pc is producing.
Change your VGA resolution to a slower refresh speed and try again.

Gateway Monitor 22" flicks on at start up, then shuts down


Coulld be a MBR problem.Try to debug and check in safe mode.Reinstall Operating System.

The computer will power up, however, the monitor will stay black and say "Monitor going to sleep." It works sometimes, but the screen will get look really pixally.


Check the cord between your monitor and the computer, and try replacing it.
you could also try installing the latest graphics driver for your pc

I have a hp pavillion zd8000 to which i am trying to connect a compaq w220q monitor. monitor status shows vga input : "no input signal". all the connections seem to be fine...screwed in firmly at...


check with another monitor if the problem persits then open you casing and resit the ram,if still the problem is there then your motherboard video adapter is the culprit,send the motherboard for repair
