My first instinct in this is flyback transformer. or if it is three tube projector could be a high voltage splitter lines in picture sound like what is called retrace lines ... this is another indication of a possible bad flyback. high pitch sound is another sypmpton of a high voltage flyback transformer problem. WARNING televisions generate potental lethal charge. the device called flyback is used to generate several THOSAND volts. so be carefull if you take the back of any television. along with the flyback the horizontal output transistor possible could have failed. What type of tv is it? model

Problem is in High voltage circuit and likely either the high voltage transformer or a connection right under or around it.

High pitched noise

I am about to post a in depth guide about how to fix this problem. It's because a capacitor inside the TV has blown which causes the buzzing high pitched noise. It's really easy to fix however and only costs about £1 / $2 to sort out.

You can read a similar guide here http://www.fixya.com/support/r741402-polaroid_flm_373b_lcd_tv_black_screen but I will shortly be uploading a guide on the buzzing problem!

Rca 27410tyx1 will not shut off

Sounds like trouble in the standby/power up circuit. have you tried unplugging the TV for a half hour and seeing what happens? It might start up but I think this problem won't go away. If you heard a high pitched buzzing it sounds like a problem in the high voltage not letting the start up circuit work. threy are related. The start up circuit waits for the high voltage to stablize and then switches it on.

Your power supply, I mean the internal power suppy could be faulty, if you know how to deal with it, check it for abnormal oscillation, or get some help from someone who knows how to repair it.

No picture or sound after replacing lamp

Possible bad color wheel...

Pull the lamp out & look inside where the lamp sends the light-

does the color wheel look defective? If so,replace it.

Or, the lamp ballast may be bad. After that, usually replace

complete engine.
