I have a Holmes Oil Filled Heater and the model number and production number are listed as unsafe but when I call the number to register it says that is not a recall heater. Please send me a phone number so I can talk to a human and NOT a recording

Heater won't stay on, I heard there was a recall on this item.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
I am only answering part of your question (Recall) so do not rate the post so other experts can help you with your heater won't stay on problem.
Your heater model is not one of the 4 models that were recalled.

The recall involves Holmes® models HFH6498-U, HFH6500-U and HFH6500TG-U and Bionaire® model BFH3530-U. The recalled heaters also have date codes beginning with 2604 through 3804 for all units, except for Holmes® model 6500TG-U, which has date codes ranging from 2604 through 4704. The model and date code can be found on the silver label on the back of the unit. The heater fans are 26 inches tall; come in all gray, two-tone gray, or black and gray; and have either the word Holmes® or Bionaire® printed on the front of the base.

My product is a Holmes oil-filled heater. The model # is HOH2505. There are two round control knobs and both are broken. Can I get a replacement? Frankie Moore

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. I don't have the answer to your knob problem other than to contact a Holmes Service Center. However, this particular heater was the subject of a recall (see link below.) Maybe you can get lucky and get a whole new heater vs the knobs should you have a unit with a product code listed at the bottom of this post..

If you are in possession of a recalled model with a listed Production Code, contact us at (800) 306-2471 to confirm your eligibility and register for a replacement heater.

There is a 4 digit production code between 2 horizontal lines about 1/3 of the way down the product label.

These are the codes elligible for replacement:
Acceptable Production Codes 2305 0106 2405 0206 2505 0306 2605 0406 2705 0506 2805 0606 2905 0706 3005 0806 3105 0906 3205 1006 3305 1106 3405 1206 3505 1306 3605 1406 3705 1506 3805 1606 3905 1706 4005 1806 4105 1906 4205 2006 4305 2106 4405 2206 4505 2306 4605 2406 4705 2506 4805 2606 4905 2706 5005 2806 5105 2906 5205 3006

Trying to find part number / retailer for "mode" switch.

Try looking in the owners manual it should have a parts number section in there. If you dont have the owners manual you should be able to get it from the factories website. Hope this helps.

Control panel blinking

my heater did the same, very frustrating. i have solved this problem.  i took off the plastic cover to expose the electronic circuit board and noticed that there was a white residue on the board. I wiped this clean with rubbing alcohol and put everything back. as of 3 weeks ago i have used the heater frequently as normal and not had any problems. chazdee

Not heating

Sounds like either the thermostat or the element. If you hear a clicking when you rotate the thermostat you can assume that it is working. My advise is to replacethe heater. The element is sealed inside the oil chamber and the thermostat will cost almost as much as a new heater, sorry.

Heater will not operate!

did you take it apart to see if the switch is good or the thermostat was functioning?  without looking inside, other than saying it don't work, isn't going to solve anything.
