Dryer light bulb burned out

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
Light Socket

The light socket can get corroded or a wire connection can come loose. You will need to remove the front panel to access the housing on most dryers.

Door Switch

If your dryer has an interior light, it probably uses a standard 40-watt appliance bulb, but check your owner's manual to be sure. If the bulb is good but the light won't come on, check the door switch, which serves two functions: When the door is closed, it turns off the light and allows the dryer to start. When the door is open, it turns on the light and prevents the dryer from starting. To check the door switch check for continuity. You should have some when the door is closed and none when the door is opened. If not replace the door switch by removing the front panel.

It blows fuses or trips the circuit breaker

Electric dryers use 220 volts or two power lines of 110 volts each. Some components in the dryer need only 110 volts; the heating element requires 220 volts. So it's possible for one part of the dryer to be fine and another part to have a short circuit. Short circuits can be caused by the heating element, the main power cord, or any other part of the internal wiring. Loose connections on the power cord cause failures and or fires. This can be checked with the dryer unplugged and removing the service cover and visually check for burning and mechanically check for tightness.

If the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows when the dryer is unplugged, it's likely the problem is with the house wiring, fuse box, or circuit box. Contact a qualified electrician.

I replace the light bulb but it does not work although the dryer works fine. Is there a special bulb?

with the power unplugged, check the tab inside the bulb socket to be sure its not burned or damaged, also,, at times a new bulb is no good, If you have a multimeter,, put the selector to continuity ,, and place the black lead to the bulb base, and the red lead to the center point at the bottom of the bulb, if you get no reading, the bulb is no good, ( if you don't have a meter, screw it into another lamp, as long as your sure the dryer light socket is a 120v not a 220 volt

How do i find and change the light bulb? both the washer and dryer are burn out. if you can help me i would be very greatful. thanks

Our Nexxt washer does not have a bulb. The dryer bulb is located at the top left of the dryer rim. You will need a torx wrench the correct size to remove the screw that holds down the bulb cover. This type of wrench is available at your local home or auto store and is inexpensive. Once you loosen and remove the screw the cover will fall down. One end is hinged so that end remains in place. On the cover its tells you the type and wattage of bulb to buy. Ours is a 10 watt appliance bulb. You can take the burned out bulb to your local home store and they will get you what you need. The bulb screws in and out of the socket. Just screw the new bulb in and put the cover in back in place and screw the cover down. It is simple. Good luck.

Won't start, just beeps - sounds like door switch problem others have had

The three short beeps could be part of the fault code. Check the owners manual and there are diagnostic sheets on the inside of the machine. I cannot find this fault code in my data base. What is the Model and Serial Number of your Dryer. Check the Power inside the machine at the power cord power connections. You should have 120V from both power terminals to the common terminal. There should be 240 Volts across the main power terminal. Another quest replaced the power cord. Hope to hear some good news soon.
