Just had same problem it was nice it waited until christmas dinner, all i did to resolve the problem was switch the upper broiler igniter with the lower one for the oven. I tuned on the oven & it fired right up i never use the broiler on my oven so itll buy me some time. So if you can get the broiler to light try that but i did have the same low temp. & the smell of gas. Good Luck
We had the same problem. But it would turn back on after 20 or so minutes. But as soon as it heated back up to 350 it would shut off completely. I called tech support but only got someone in India who I couldn't understand. Then I called a local technician and they charge a grip just to look at it! I finally got sick of it and banged on the control panel. To my surprise it turned right on and has been working ever since :) *This method is not recommended for use on children or animals.*
Sir, I think the top oelement is for broiling ONLY. It should not turn on when baking. The clicking may be the oven heating up.
How far apart were the oven temp instrument and the digital?
Don't expect them to match...they are inaccurate.
1. Heat water until it boils. Place digital therm in boiling water until it comes up to 212deg. If it is not at 212 in boiling water, record the error.(this gives a rough calibration to the digital)
2 Turn on oven, set to 350 deg, place digital therm on rack. Wait until oven reaches 350 (on stove) and read the digital. Note the difference between the two
the broiler came on automatically??? not a sensor issue. sounds as if you have a broken wire perhaps, or a faulty control panel energizing the broil element w/o being prompted to. does it say its broiling when element comes on??
