Pioneer car stereo-how to hook up speaker wires

I'm trying to install a used Pioneer car stereo in a 99 Suburban-the Sub.s wiring harness has 8 speaker wires(2 per speaker?)and the radio just has 4 speaker wires-how do I go about hooking this up?Also theres a wire on the radio marked to be controlled by ignition switch(another wire is marked to be hot all the time)-on the ignition switch wire there was a little 3/8 ? long component soldered in and one end of the wire broke off it-do I need this?Whats it for?maybe I can get a soldering iron and reconnect it.I suppose this wire is needed? Thanks for the help.

Apparently, you have no power at the 12 volt battery/memory wire at the radio harness of the vehicle. This wire is white with blue in color.
Also, based upon your description, you have connected the battery/memory wire and the accessory wire of the radio to the 12 volt accessory (switched) wire of the vehicle. This wire is white with red in color.
Check the radio/ stereo fuse of the car. You may have blown the fuse during your installation.
You have no memory at the radio because when you turn off the key, you lose all power to the radio.
Also, I mentioned the wire colors just in case you used an aftermarket radio wiring harness. Make sure that the yellow from the Pioneer unit is going to the battery power source and, the red of the Pioneer is going to the switched power source.

I wont the speakers hooked to the cd player no the amp

check were the speakers are installed for pre existing wiring they probly left it there.. if not then you will have to run speaker wire from your stereo wiring harness to your speakers. if the speakers were hooked up to the amp then the wire in the harness should be vacant and you can use it if all the wires are connected then that means that you just have to find were that wire leads and hook your speakers up to it.

I just hooked up a pioneer deh-5100ub stereo in my 2004 dodge ram 1500 pick-up using a store bought wiring harness but I cannot get any sound from my speakers now.

Does you truck say Infinity anywhere on a door panel or such? If so you need to make sure that the blue wire from the store bought wiring harness is connected to the amp turn on from the pioneer.

I have a 99 GMC suburban. I just replaced the AC

Find a blue wire on the wire harness to the truck and connect from the blue white on the radio. this will turn on the factory amp that runs the rear door speakers

How to hook up the pioneer stereo to wire harness?

Not real clear on question, but you can buy a direct fit wire harness and the wires are color coded so you don't have to cut and splice your wires on your factory harness. The harness hooks to your factory plug and you wire it to your pioneer stereo wires. Harness is about 7.99 up at most stores.

Pioneer dehp3100ub.stock speakers wont work with unit?

If the vehicle has a premium sound package - you need to use the remote wire to turn on the factiry amplifier.
If you want to use the power from the radio for the speakers, you must buy and install a factory amplifier bypass harness.

Rear door speakers don't work w/ aftermarket radio in 94 suburban

You need to attach the blue wire on the stereo harness to the blue and white wire on the car adapter harness. they installed a small amplifier to power the rear door speakers and unless you connect those two wires then the speakers will not work.

Need to hook up a 200 pioneer stereo with wire harness from 96 honda accord to the wiring on a 64 impala

you'll need a small 12 v lamp to figure out which one has the power terminals. after mapping that out you need to find a small battery and hook it up to a pair of wires to figure out to which speaker the wires go to.

note : new car radios don't use the chassis ground as common (negative).. the head unit has a negative and positive wire for EACH speaker.
