Question about Toshiba e-Studio 232 Black and White Copier

Hi ,
I have moved my printer to new office and some how giving message close side door and i have check all the doors and closed please help

Check the bottom door on the right, I beleive there are three doors on the right, if not there is a door sensor loose.

There are many possibles that can cause "Close Front Cover"
Check the front cover actuator, switch. If all covers, switches is working fine, probably power supply is faulty.

Print head jam

Check the LCD on your printer control panel or the status monitor on your computer for an error message. If there is an error message, follow the instructions to clear it.

If there is no error message, or if the problem continues:

  1. Open the access door.
  2. Disconnect the power adapter from the back of the printer.
  3. CAUTION: Do not use force on the printhead carriage to move it. Gently move the printhead carriage from side to side to see that it moves freely and there are no obstructions.
  4. Remove any obstructions that may prevent the printhead carriage and ink cartridges from moving to the center position.
  5. Close the access door.
  6. Connect the power adapter to the printer.
  7. Remove the ink cartridges from the printhead.
  8. Verify that the labels on the ink cartridges are intact, and that the cartridges are not damaged.
  9. firmly until you hear it click into position.
  10. Insert the color ink cartridge into the printhead, then press down firmly until you hear it click into position.
  11. Close the printer access door.
  12. Press OK to clear the error.
  13. Make a print.

My machine toshiba e studio 167 showining error code 1 side cover open .but i checked their is not open any cover even frout & side cover .so plz give me a solution as soon.

hai friend it is a small problem ,. the problem is Sensor is not working. U have to do one thing
open right cover., and clean the roller dust., and rearrange all the doors in the printer,. then close tightly the main door., and put a support for not opening ., try it it will work.,

My copies are coming out smeared. The green roller has a lot of toner on it. This is a toshiba E studio 230

The green roller you mention is probably the drum. It is located behind the right side door. So try this. Close the door and turn the machine off then back on again and let it come to ready. Now open the right side door again and see if the drum (green cylinder) is now clean. If it still has toner on it then you have a drum cleaning problem or bad developer. Either of which is going to require service. I would recommend you call your local servicing company and have it checked out.

is the finisher tray atach and connector plug in? it's possible that the connector was unplugged while the machine was on and an memory error apeared! if so, unplug the copier from power source, plug in the finisher, and plug in the power corde . if it won't work you shall check also if all doors of finisher are closed and if wasn't broken one of the sensors!

It does not print it tells me the the door is open. And the door is working properly.  The cartridges carrier moves when I open and close the door. I have Vista Bussiness and the downloades software from...

there is a black colour plastic sensor exactly behind the left side of the door and that senson is not in the exact position so it is detecting and giving the message that door open.maybe that sensor is bit moved or it could be slightly broken.or something is blocking that sensor to move please check it.and make it proper to make your printer work properly.

Finisher door is the sorter. there is a switch or door in the sorter not closed (or triggered)
