Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Typewriter has been stored some 25 years .... It powered up briefly and seemed to type ok. I shut it down, but now it won't power up ..... don't know how to remove the cover to get at the switch....assuming it is the switch....HELP
Open the upper cover, remove the platen (roller) there is a latct on each side that has to be pressed down, after the platen is out thetre are two latches one on each dide just inside the the sides of the case pull them to the front, flip the margins inside and lift the case, give the motor a little push, if it starts get a can of WD40 and spray everything inside the T/W that moves.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
