Question about Televison & Video

Open Question

Elmo TRV 35-G no video signal output.

I recently purchased an Elmo TRV 35-G device. The unit is in very good overall condition. The slide transport functions very well and the lamp works. Somehow, I am unable to produce a video image and I don't believe that I am getting a video signal output. Internally the unit looks like everything is intact and connected. Does anyone have experience with this unit? At this point, I don't know where to begin. My e-mail address is: z21552@netzero.com Thank you for your time. Dan

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: unable to receive input device signal

Can you post a picture of the screen so I can properly diagnose it. It sounds like the caps on the FMT PWB but a picture would help me be certain.

SOURCE: No signal weak signal on only and both component inputs

Sounds like something isn't connected securely inside. Go back and recheck your cables, particularly the DVI cable. Report back if this doesn't solve your problem and we'll try something else.

SOURCE: My Mitsubishi projection TV will not produce audio or video

Hi,
Two things are involved to cause that problem, tv remote control and remote sensor in tv.
Upon verification of remote working, it would be confirm that remote sensor in tv is defective and need to be replaced.
Remote control sends infra red light signal to tv and we can not see that light with naked-eye, so need digital camera or cell phone camera to see it by watching remote front through camera, press any keys on remote, if you see infra red light is blinking in remote front that means remote is working and remote sensor in tv will be replaced.
If no light blinking on pressing remote buttons confirm that this remote is defective and buy new remote.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Can i convert to a dvd i have a trv-35h elmo

You can very easily. You may use the S-VHS output on your Elmo ( a 4-pin DIN socket on the rear) going into the S-VHS input on your DVD player. You will need an S-VHS cord. Very cheap at Radio Shack or on Ebay. This gives the best quality. Our you can use the more familiar RCA composite video output (yellow socket) from the Elmo into the composite or auxiliary input on the DVD recorder.Be sure you have selected the proper input on your DVD recorder. Use a TV set as a monitor so you can see what you are recording. When I convert slides to DVD, I do a test run through the carousel to be sure the slides are all facing the right way, not upside down or backward.I set my Elmo timer on 5 seconds and let the carousel advance automatically. You may want to zoom in or color correct as you convert. In that case, pause your DVD recorder between slides, make your adjustments, then resume recording. This is called assembly editing. It works very smoothly and you get a better show,

I bouht an old Elmo but the lens seems to be missing. How does this projector project anyway What sort of lens system? Thanks to whoever answers

The TRV-35 series are not slide projectors in the normal sense. There isn't a projection lens to enable an image to be projected on a wall or cine screen. The unit is a digital convertor for producing an image via a TV or PC.

What size tray doe the Elmo TRV-35H use? What mfg is comparable?

It uses a standard 80 slide Kodak Carousel or comparable tray. Transvue works the best. Sometimes I can coax the Elmo to use a 140 slide tray, but the slides sometimes jam.
