Press and hold the audio button while the stereo is off and the clock is displayed. This will send the clock into set mode. Use the up and down buttons on the right to change the hour. Push the left or right button to go to minutes and use the up and down buttons to change the time. Then push the audio button to make the clock setting stay.

I tried all of the solutions posted here and they did not work. Finally I tried pushing and holding the function button, while the stereo was off. This made the clock display blink (ready to set) then used the up and down buttons to set the hour and the right button to change to the minutes and the up and down button to set the minutes. Then push the function button to exit.

I tried all the buttons and all the sequences suggested --to no avail. Finally, I disconnected the battery negative over night. Upon reconnecting the clock said 12:00. Quickly disconnecting,I waited till 11:59 and reconnected the battery. The clock is now set right, althoug 20 seconds fast. These units tend to forget what their buttons are supposed to do, so that was the only solution I could come up with.

Just bought a car with this stereo. Was working fine and then I accidentally was messing around trying to figure things out and put it in demo mode. Now it's stuck!! Can someone please help?!?!

With the stereo on, hold the large round button in to get to setting menu. When it gets to that, I believe clock adjust comes up first, just turn the knob to get to demo mode and then push the button in. Turn the knob to switch demo off and then push it again. That should do it.

My battery died and I had to get a new battery. I can not remember the security code for the car radio KDC-MP342u can you help?

You may have to contact the manufacturer for details on that. Check in your owners manual for the phone number of their customer service. I had a similar problem after changing battery but found the answer right in the manual. Mine was a Kia.

You should have a look at the owners manual, where the code almost sure is... Or maybe a card from the radio.
It will help if you put the car and radio model...
