my sub has alot of loose bass if i true on LFE will it be better but when i turn down the Sub its not as bad but i dont feel like lossing to much bass

can someone please help me

my Reciver is a JVC 5020 and my Sub is a SXPW650
is there a big dif beween LFE -10 or 0 would that help the bass out
