Hi Christopher,
The problem you describe is most certainly a spyware infection on your PC.
Firstly make sure you have a good anti-virus program installed on your pc.
You can download AVG antivirus for free by clicking on the link below:

http://www.google.co.za/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=avg&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CEoQjBAwAg&url=http%3A%2F%2Ffree.avg.com%2Fus-en%2Fdownload&ei=XxoPT8a8IqXQmAXWmajhAw&usg=AFQjCNF_OvnwrSpXtAdHA34xR79U7KqiGg&sig2=89OH_xygGZRJf5_0dpfKdg&cad=rja

Once downloaded and installed allow AVG to do download any updates from the internet. After all updates are completed Run a full system scan to remove viruses and spyware on your PC.
Best wishes,
Graemevm

SOURCE: computer is running slow may have a virus

Sounds like you have the We-Care.com app installed; it's a free online donation tool. You may have downloaded it along with a disk utility or some other freeware. If you're getting a popup message, you're probably having issues. Contact them at the email address, or uninstall by following directions below:

Open your Start menu and choose Control Panel.
In Windows XP: choose Add/Remove Programs.
In Vista: choose Programs/Features.
In Windows 7: Choose Uninstall a program.
Find the We-Care Reminder (may be ASPCA Reminder by We-Care.com).
Choose Remove (Windows XP), or right click and select uninstall (Vista and Win 7).

What is happening with AOL? I have been having lots of pop ups, slow computer and AOL telling me they are having problems? My computer very slow?

Is you computer slow when using software offline? If so, it is either AOL or your internet. Don't judge the speed strictly by going to AOL. Go to Speakeasy Speed Test and test your internet speed. If that shows your internet is running at the speed you are paying for, it si AOL having trouble. You don't say which browser you are using, but most browsers have an option to block pop-ups. Make sure it is on.
Run a virus scan on your PC to see if it is infected. Also defrag your hard drive to speed it up some.

6910p really slow

what operating system are you running? How long has it been installed? Do you use antivirus? Did you just install the ram, if so was it faster or slower before? How old is your pc? Common reasons for a slow computer are a failing hard drive, Bad RAM modules, Viruses, Or the hardware is just plain worn out.

Ram is sold in differnet sizes which is the most realized factor of ram. but Ram is also sold at different speeds.

If you have 4gb of ram at 800mhz each then 2gb of ram at 1333mhz would still outperform the slower 4 gb. Make sure this is not the problem (would only be if you changed the ram and encountered problems)

Run a memory testing program, there are thousands of free ram test programs for free.

Try different ram sticks.

Backup important files and reinstall windows (this will fix 90% of slow computers)

Try a different hard drive: you will need to install fresh or take an image of drive and put it on new drive. (if you image your drive make a partition on the new drive that is as close to the same size as you can to avoid problems.

Very slow laptop

could be a Ram problem or perhaps a virus . Try booting off a cd or floppy that you can create from http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

But you'll need access to another computer for that

My Laptop is suddenly taking 15 minutes to load up after turning

clean the pc up to speed it up a little, download ccleaner and install it, run the cleaner and delete all the files it finds, then clean the registry and fix the issues found, if it asks you to save the changes to the registry click yes and fix do this a couple of times so no issues are found.
If the pc is still slow after this clean then the issue is either memory or the operating system is degrading.
