By Rogers - usenet poster

Does it make since to use component connection from receiver to tv if I only have s-video from DVD? Should I just stick with S-video to tv?

it depends on your receiver. It only makes sense if the receiver is capable an upconversion.
It is sometimes better to connect the DVD video direct to the TV to avoid signal degradation.
