Yeh you carbon brushes on the motor need replacing..

easy to do yourself. i have a post or there is a post on this site.

All you do is remove the top lid by unding the three screws at the back and pulling it back.

You will c the motor atached to the top of the drum. Now myself personally have a set of 90degree bent nose pliers specially for this job i dont know abbout you. You will c two white looking plugs inserted at the back end of the motor remove these and replace.

Howver on some models diffrent motors are used where you undue the carbons with a screw drive and replace.

Good luck Washdoctor..

Please rate me. the solution is adead cert. new brushes cost around £5 to £10 pounds

yes its a leaky solenoid water inlet valve, shut off each water fill valve after using the machine and check the drum later to see if its still empty, then do the other4 valve and when you find water then thats the leaky valve, don't try to clean it,just replace the entire valve

Water in drum

It sounds like you have a faulty fill valve that is leaking by. The valve has an electric solenoid but also has a small diaphragm that needs to seat properly to keep the water supply from coming in. If the diaphragm is not seating correctly for whatever reason, water pressure alone can keep water filling into the wash tub. Even the smallest amount, over time can cause problems. One way to test the theory is to shut off the water supply before you go to bed. If the tub is still empty in the morning, more than likely you have a bad fill valve. Let me know if this helps.

Wash starts it fills with water then stops and wont wash

problem may just be that drum is not turning so you think program is stopped. try cancelling and select spin program and see if you get spin
