Lexmark Z1300 Printer

Any luck on solving the problem with refilling cartridges for this model ? After refilling still get message that the ink is exhausted . Switched to color ink so at least I can deplete both cartridges before throwing in trash

Looked on Ebay for #34 Cartridges and they said if my printer was not listed this cartridge would not work . Could not find Z 1300 printer on the list . Hate to keep on buying cartridges and wasting money if they don't work. Will #35 (color) cartridges work as well ? Most stores will not let you exchange cartridges after opening . I don't doubt you , but just like confirmation before I invest $40.00 in cartridges . Thanks for all your help so far . guy

Buy, and refill #34 cart. for black, and click close, then continue on the pop ups, and it will print.

I bought my #34 at one of the office supply stores. It had the printer model # listed. I don't know about the #35 color cart. I am not using a color cart. at this time. Lexmark would rather you didn't know about the #34. They lost some law suit, and had to make it available. It is listed as a high yield cart. I just know it is working in my printer after I refilled it.

I have refilled my cartridges many, many times. A messy job, but well worth the savings. Never over fill, handle carefully.
The printer will give an error message, but just press cancel, do not order a new cartridge, Your refilled cartridge will work on the lexmark x5470. Good luck.

Printing with generic cartridges

Lexmark International does not recommend the use of third party inks or inkjet cartridge refill kits. Genuine Lexmark inks and cartridges are perfectly matched to the printing system. Using genuine Lexmark ink and cartridges ensures that every document produced is of the highest possible print quality, providing long-term dependable service from your Lexmark printer.

Lexmark cannot assure the excellent print quality and reliability of its inkjet cartridges after a cartridge has been refilled. Using incompatible inks in an attempt to extend the life of a genuine Lexmark cartridge beyond its recommended usage can cause failures in several different areas of the printer. Inkjet cartridges and printer failures caused by refilling or a third party ink are not covered by your Lexmark printer Warranty, Extended Warranty or Service Agreement.

Please use genuine Lexmark cartridges for best results.

I refilled my ink cartridges to my HP photo copy printer

Refilling is more trouble than it's worth isn't it...there is probably a chip that also needs to be replaced to reset the cartridge

Ink levels on lexmark z1300

I bought this same printer and after trying numerous things to refill the cartridges (which are detailed at fixyourownprinter.com), I have concluded that if you are using black cartridge #28 and/or color cartridge #29 you cannot refill because these are the "return program" cartridges. These specific cartridges cannot be refilled and technically any attempt to refill them is against Lexmark contract which you agreed to when you opened the sealed bag the cartridge came in.(Dont believe me? check the bag) I think the bag also said that there can be criminal charges filed against you if you refill these cartridges but I seriously doubt that lexmark would go after you since it has never happened before. My recommendation is to purchase the more expensive 34 and 35 high yield cartridges which I believe but cannot confirm will let you refill. What did you expect from lexmark? This printer is sold at a loss and do you really think that they would sell you a printer so darn cheap and not expect to make that money back somehow? These printers are usually picked up by cheapskates (such as myself) who have no intention to buy any more cartridges other then the initial one. Well ive learned the hard way that lexmark as well as other printer companies are now fighting back. If you want cheap ink I hear that KODAK is selling a printer that is a bit more expensive then the other brands but has very cheap cartridges. Oh and If you did buy the high yield cartridges then please reply so I can update the thread on fixyouownprinter.com and let everyone know.

Hope this helps makes things a bit more clear. Thanks for reading!

Z1300 LEXCRAP

I bought this same printer at wal-mart and for the price, it's desposable. When the price of a printer with a color cartridge is about the same as the price of the ink cartridge itself, then I'm happy if I can make it through the ink before it stops working. Mine won't power on anymore, but I don't feel screwed by Lexmark or Wal-Mart, I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR. If you want a better printer you have to pay for it.
