Hello john walker24

You said, you have a Hotpoint Ultima 1200 Washier dryer model WD71s and keep getting an E30 error code after it fills with water.
Any idea what the problem is?

This is what Hotpoint tells us!
E30 = A motor drive problem has occurred.Try running the programme again.
If the problem persists call for a Service Engineer.

BUT, I will tell you to unplug the appliance for 5 minutes and see if this resets the system and solves the error code.
Sometimes it is only a glitch and you can reboot and be alright if there is really no mechanical failure!!
Let me know how it goes?
Please remember to leave a rating!
Thank You.
Waiting for your response!

On inspection (remove the top lid - three screws, instructions on rear of machine) the rotation motor brushes were worn and sparking. They needed replacement! Working on that one soon...

I dismantled the 'rotation motor' ( the one that operates through a belt drive TO THE DRUM) and found the brushes worn - (One brush friction polished, one brush pitted and dull) and the motor unserviceable because of this! I have removed the brush-holders and am presently looking for replacement brushes. The brush-holder assemblies are plastic, with brass-holders for the brushes.I am presently sourcing replacements. Stay Tuned....

Zanussi zfw 1631 w skipping through programmes straight onto drain from wash. has been coming up with an error code e30

I'm going to take a stab at the filter on the empty pump being blocked.

I have tried to find an error code that matches for you and loads of forums talk about a possible blocked pump filter (Though I have seen a motor fault mentioned too!).

Try checking the filter out, it's the biggest cause of questions being posted on this site for washing machines

Getting an error messsage on my hotpoint ultima wm72 code is e30

It means motor problem, see below
It could be as simple as the motor requiring new brushes which can be bought quite cheaply on ebay or as complicated as the pcb motor controller being faulty. The brushes are however easily checked
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

E30 error message what does it mean, Cheers, Dave

E30 can be a faulty pressure switch,Heating element earth fault or the main P.C.B.(Programmer).Does the machine fill with water then empty.
Most common fault is the heating element, once this is replaced it should cure the fault.

Whirlpool Roper Gets to Rinse then water runs but will not fill

The contacts for the outlet pump have fused together in the programmer so that as soon as you apply power the pump motor starts running.

Remove the power first

Quick check is to take off the back panel locate the pump and remove one of the supply leads
put some insulating tape around the end of the lead you have taken off in case it shorts out then put the power back on and try the machine, it should then fill and start to agitate .

If that works then you need a new programmer .

Turn off the power , replace the lead and then put the machine back on to drain out the water

I have a c1 error on an AEG oko favorite 50700 What dies this error mean

I don't understand why replies talk about the C2 and C3 errors... The problem is C1! I have the C1 error. I start a programme, it does the draining cycle to check empty then starts filling. MI can hear water entering but it sounds slow at a low flow rate. If I leave it going, eventually the programme stops and the error is displayed: C1 Opening and closing the door allows the programme to continue. I get the error after the various stages of the programme, when it is filling for the next wash or rinse. So it's 4 or 5 times I think during the programme. Now, if I help the filling... When the appliance is filling, I open the door, and poor in a kettle or two of water, then the error does not happen (the fill is within the time expected by the appliance?) So I am thinking one of two things is wrong: 1) I have a flow rate problem BEFORE the water connection to the appliance. E.g. It is blocked somehow. 2) There is something which opens/closes the "tap" within the machine which is causing the flow rate to be low and it does not fill quickly due to that. No idea which of these two, but I did disconnect the hose of the supply and check that water flows quickly from it into a bucket, so I am thinking there is something inside the machine which "opens the tap" and it's not doing a good job of it. Anyone got a clue?
