Question about Avaya Lucent Partner 616 Phone

Cannot login to voice mailbox "multiple logins"

When we try to login to a particular mailbox to listen to messages, the message states cannot get messages, multiple log-ins, please disconnect.
any suggestions

    I have Lucent ACS phone system

    Voice mail is F ACS R3.0.1 CO1



    How do I reset this so we can use the voice mail and extensions? Is there a place to get a handbook on the system?

    How will I know what the admin extension is?
    I was trying #14 the one on my desk, there are 7 phones..

    First, from a display phone without lifting the handset dial "Feature 59" -- it should display the exact software on the system. I'm guessing this is an ACS.


    What type of voicemail are you using? Do you know if it's a Partner Voice Messaging? That unit is a PC Card that plugs into the front of the processor. The voicemail will ususally tell you what it is when hit the Voicemail button or Dial "Intercom 777".

  1. Hangup, wait 5 minutes and try again. This will usually clear the problem.
  2. Call repair.

Avaya Partner Phone System 518-457-701... I had a employee who left our company, unfortunately she didn't give us her voicemail password. How can I reset voice mail


All Parther voice mail or messaging systems have a master login and password. It usually is 99 or 999 and the password. From that mailbox, you can reset the extensions and administer the system. Your system admin guide for the particular messaging system will have complete instructions and the default password for the administer. If you've lost the "master" password, you'll need to contact your Avaya dealer who can reset it through Avaya.

How do I reset the passord for my voice message system?


intercom 777 *, *, 0, #, 12345678, # press 9 to admin, listen for mailbox administration, press appropriate number, then listen press, listen but it should be mailbox number thn 6 to reset !!!!! it deletes all messages. then reapeat for all extensions. listen to prompts after reset they should be all set to 12345678 #

Can't login to voice mail.


Multiple login error will clear up if you reboot your phone system with voicemail.

You will need to restart your phone system. Unplug black cord. Count to 5 and then plug it back in.
If that doesn't help because password is unknown you will need to login to adminstrative mailbox and reset password on the mailbox.

Voice message, reprogramming extensions


How did you program the voicemail so a caller can not leave a voicemail to a particular extension? Line ownership? SO a call goes directly to a milbox?

How can you reprogram the voice message????? Which one, for a particular user or the main Auto attendant greeting????

You have to know the admin login to change a mailbox password.

For that, you need to know which voicemail system this is.
When you log in to check your mail, the lady says, "welcome to Partner......"

Please fill in the blanks.

If your system is a Nortel Callpilot just log into your mailbox, then press 8, the first option "Record your name in the company directory" is what I think you're looking for.

This could be because you have several mailboxes/extensions set up. We've had the same problem in our office.

As a result, from the phone that reads "Messages for you" you can find out which mailbox is attached to the phone.

1. Press "Feature"
The display will read: "Set: ???"

The numbers shown in place of the question mark will be the numbers to the mailbox attached to the phone.

2. Press "Feature"
Enter 981 for voice mail access

The display will read "Login: "
Enter the numbers from the previous action, and if you don't know the password, attempt to use the default passwords of 0000 or 1234.

This worked at our office. I hope it works for you.

If not? We find the site http://nortstarsupport.com VERY helpful.

If you don't know the password, but have access to the system administrator login, you can reset the password for the set you are trying to retrieve messages.

Voice mail - you cannot get your messages at this time due to multiple log ins


Sounds like you were kicked out and still logged in, so when you tried to go back in, it said, multiple logins.

Try power cycling the system.
