Question about ASUS WL-500W Router (WL500W)

Problem open a series of ports ASUS WL-500W

I have a problem opening a series of ports. (ex 7777-8000)

I read at www.portforward.com that i just add in port list 7777-8000, but when i try to do that it just says "7777 is an invalid port number"

If i try to open just one port it works, but i don't want to add like 100 ports one at a time.

How do i open a series of ports?

Hello!

You should try to add a port range like this 7777:8000

Hope this helps!

To change your NAT into open, you need to open some port. That's done using port forwarding feature of your router. Go to www.portforward.com for instructions on how to do it.

Connecting 2 routers (ASUS WL-500W and D-Link DSL-G604T Wireless)

This will give you a "Double NAT" setup. Meaning, Your D-Link router is connected to the external internet address assigned to you by your internet service provider. More than likely this is a DHCP address you do not control. Your D-Link router is then translating the address to the 192.168.1.x network. This is the first NAT translation. You are then connecting the ASUS router to DLINK, causing a second NAT translation. (Internet ADSL --> D-Link WAN Port --> D-Link Lan Port --> ASUS WAN Port --> ASUS Lan Port to computer/server/etc. ) If both of your routers are giving out DHCP addresses, then this is all that is required.

Unable to input a HYPHEN in portrange

With this particular router you will need to treat the port range field as the port field. You will just have to forward single ports at a time. Which will be fine. In case you need more reference see the link below.
