When answer button is pushed, one beep sounds. Lifter does not lift. When I lift the phone manually, still no sound in the ear piece. Ear piece does charge. I disconnected everything and re-connected without any luck.

Make sure that the power is connected to the headset.  You can tell it's connected because there will be a red solid light on the left side of the front of the charging base.  Check the power cord for any frays and make sure it's plugged into the wall.  If it is, then try the following:
A system reset:
1.  Lift the headset off of the base. 2.  Make sure the headset is turned off.  The green light will not be on on the base. 3.  Hold down the minus button at the same time as the call answer button on the headset.  Hold them down for at least 10 seconds.  An orange light on the headset will flash several times.  It should go off when you let go of the buttons.  If the orange light stays solid, push the minus button once. 4.  Put the headset back in the charging cradle.  Leave it for 30 seconds.  Lift it back out of the cradle and try using it again.

Using plantronics cs70 - can hear the incoming audio, but the caller cannot hear anything i am saying. have tried resetting the system, no luck.

If you have the CS70 it has a replaceable voice tube. If this is dirty or clogged with food or sugary drinks, people will not be able to hear you. That can be replaced with another voice tube. If this is a noise-canceling microphone, it is non replaceable, they are not cleanable. On the base of the unit is a microphone adjustment, it might be something that needs to be turned up.

No sound when coming from the headset

Check the compatibility setting on the left side of the Plantronics CS70 base, number "1" should be in the 3 O'clock position. Also check the cable connections, unplug and re-plug the cables. If the headset is dead, then the internal battery may be worn out and it may need to be replaced. The headset replacement model is 72910-01. Below is a link for the user guide to help with the compatibility settings and adjustments, as well as a link to the newer Plantronics headset that replaced the CS70.

OmI have a CS70 NC and I cannot walk very far and hear who I'm talking too. Also, the people/person I'm on a conference call with - I can't hear them very well. help please

My guess would be the battery is dying in your headset. The battery is not replaceable but the headset is. See link below.

The headset picks up but it doesnt answer the phone. CS70 NC headset.

If it's not answering the phone, your phone may need to be programmed for auto-pick up so that it automatically opens the telephone line when you turn on your headset. Also, make sure the round compatibility dial (located to the left of the base) is set right (not between numbers and most phones work on setting #1).

I have a CS70 NC./ no lifter. What is the set up procedure to use my headset without lifting my phone handset. With the base plugged into the headset port of the phone.

If the Plantronics CS70N wireless headset is plugged into the headset jack on your phone, you will need to push the headset button on the phone and then the call/control button on the wireless headset.

I am getting feedback with Plantronics CS70 Wireless Headset

Echo is usually caused by the transmit (speak) level on the unit being set too high.

1. First, try lowering the volume of the telephone. If you still hear an echo, adjust the volume of the headset itself.

2. The master transmit controls of the headset are the ABCD switch settings on the bottom of the base. A is the lowest and D is the highest setting.

3. You can fine tune this setting with the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons on the back of the charging base.

4. If this doesn't fix the echo, try moving the configuration dial on the left side of the charging base. The recommended setting for most phones is 1.
