Question about Pioneer AVIC-N3 GPS Receiver
Letting the heat run for a while, then turning off the car and restarting it worked for me. The problem seemed to only occur on very cold mornings. Seems silly, but try it.

Hi check your navigation disc for dust, dirt, damage.
if disc is good, you might like to try running a dvd cleaner in the unit, the avic has a fan that sucks in dust from the car, and this coates the cd lens.

I have the same issue. Have you fouind a solution? I am able to play movies and everything is fine. Once I install the Nav disk I get the error. Please help

I had try the cd cleaner and still not working, i guess Im gona have to send it to Pioneer in Long Beach California, Thanks for ur help!
mine has the same problem but it wont read any cds and i put the navigation cd and it goes to checking cd but quickly says eject and insert appropriate disc. and the whole system doesnt go past that screen.
