How do I activate the "Beam Receive" setting, so my handheld will be ready to accept items beamed from other handhelds?

- I have not been able to beam or receive beams on my Palm Centro since getting it 9 months ago. The settings are correct. It does not matter if I'm sending or receiveing, or whether it's a Treo or Centro, whether they are 1" apart or 12" apart, on a table or my hand. What can be done? - andrine23Best Solution

To activate the "Beam Receive" setting:
1. Tap the "Applications" icon (picture of a house) on the bottom left of the handheld screen.
2. From the Applications screen, confirm that the "All" category is displayed on the top left and then tap on the "Prefs" icon.
3. In the upper right-hand corner, select the "General" category from the drop-down menu. On newer PalmOne devices there will be not drop-down, the General category will be shown at the top of the screen.
4. On the bottom of the "General" screen, make sure "Beam Receive" is set to "On". On newer PalmOne devices, tap "Power" in the General category to access the Beam Receive settings.
