Video recorder Lost manual - I can't program the video recorder without it

The Make and model is Matsui model VP 9607. I bought it on eBay as I just need a cheap replacement for my previous VCR as I'm going abroad soon [which is also why I don't want to buy a DVD yet]. Unfortunately it came without a booklet and the controls are completely different to my previous one. I've managed to tune the channels in to my TV OK, it records OK and I can get the menu up and put in all the program data but just can't work out which button to press to get it to accept the data and so record programs when I'm out. [I have since contacted the seller but no, he doesn't have the booklet.] I've just spent another evening trying every combination of buttons I can think of, so any help you can offer will be most appreciated. Many thanks, Debbie

Have lost my manual and my remote control is broken how do i record a program manually

Without know the make/model number it would be hard to say how. Your best course of action is to either look around for a replacement remote or get a cheaper universal one.

Lost manual. Cannot get HR A591U JVC VCR program to record a future cable tv program. Seems I have tried everything but it does not record as I set up. It will record an existing show by pressing...

Timer Recording JVC VCR HR A591U
Timer recording can be programmed on-screen with
the remote control. The built-in timer allows automatic
unattended recording of up to 8 programs within 1
month.

EXAMPLE: Program a timer recording for the 26th day,
channel 125 (CATV), 11:00 - 11:30 PM on timer program
number 1 (Tape speed: EP).

When a TV is connected with an audio/video cable, turn the
TV and this VCR on and select the video input mode on the
TV.

• After timer recording is completed, the VCR turns off
automatically.
• You can program the timer recording while a regular
recording is in progress; the menu screens will not be
recorded.
• The timer recording will start at 20 seconds before the time
you predetermined.

Press MENU on the Remote.
Check the “TIMER REC SET”
option is selected, then press
ENTER.

Press SET –/+ to select one of
the program lines, then press
ENTER.

Press SET –/+ to select the
date, then press ENTER.

Set the start time, end time,
channel and tape speed as in
step 3.
NOTE: To record from external
source, press SET –/+
and set the channel to
"L". "L" will appear next
to CH 125 (or 69).

To enter other programs,
repeat step 2 through 4. Or,
press MENU twice to return
to the normal screen.

Press TIMER on the Remote.
The power will go off, the
TIMER REC indicator ( ) will
light and the VCR stands by
for recording.

To cancel a program:

Press the SET –/+ to select the
“TIMER REC SET” option in the
MENU. Then press SET –/+ to
select the unnecessary program,
and press CANCEL to cancel the
program.

When I try to tape a program to the vcr, the tape ejects when I press record. I unplugged it as suggested in the manual and tried again. The dvd works fine.

Check the record switch in the video recorder. The thing that pushes on the tab on the video tape! If bent or broken, your VCR will assume that the blank tape has no tab and thus eject it, as though it was a protected tape!

Can't find VHS video recording when I press play on VCR.

make sure your VCR is on the right channel TO record.

You may see the picture on the televison, but that doesn't mean that it is recording that channel. Also, make sure your tapes have the little plastic tab ON on the front of it. It will not record without the plastic tab or you can use a piece of scotch tape and put over the square hole.

Are you using coaxil cable or rca jacks to hook up vcr to tv?

Panasonic NV SJ205 changing RF settings

Hi,
Your VCR has input to record video-audio signal. Here is 2 options to record program in vcr.
1= You need to hook up video-audio cable at Monitor Out in TV and video-audio in at VCR. select Line-1 or Line-2 (where you hook up cable) in vcr and insert cassette with Record Tab intact, VCR is ready to record TV program. select desired channel on tv and hit record button of vcr, recording will start.
2= Plug RF antenna / cable wire in RF In of vcr and tune desired channel in vcr (get help of vcr's user manual for that) and push record button to start record directly in vcr.
Have further query, let me know please.
bye.
