I have an Olympus U850SW

I have an Olympus U850SW camera which I purchased on board a Thompson cruise ship in the Medditeranian in April 2008
The battery is a rechargeable type but I am having difficulty recharging
The camera will not switch on
I am not sure if the battery may be fully charged and the camera is faulty or the battery is not being charged and therefore the camera is not getting the power it needs
I seek your advice. Is there somewhere local I can take it to for an opinion
I look forward toyour advice

The camera was repaired by Olympus under warranty and is now operating OK
