Take the dirt cup out and turn the bottom of it that will let you get to the filter, there should be some finger twist plates on the top, turn and take it out, there will be a foam cover around the filter, take that off and clean with warm warter, when done towel dry with paper towels, now the filter itself is water friendly ,take a brush and in up and down strokes ,clean while running water over it.above where the dirt cup goes is another filter ,just reach up inside and twist and it will come out, clean that also.now put the dirt cup back in without the filter and see if you have suction,i believe you will.let the filters dry before you put them back in then reassemble, and if that don't work, the take the hose off and see if you can blow through it .if thats not it then at the bottom on the right you will see a clear hose, thats your intake hose.there is a screw on the black fitting thats connected to it ,take it out and get you a coat hanger and bend the tip so its rounded ,thats so you don't puncture a hole in the intake hose.work the hanger down into the intake hose and push out the clog .then try it again..please leave feedback.i hope i was some help to you.iwould clean the foam filteres at least once a month

I cleaned it out but it still wont **** into the dirt container it all ends up getting cloged in the opening on the bottom

Double check the elbow at the base on the right hand side (back facing you) of the vacuum for clogging.

Many times it will appear free but be packed solid at the elbow just out of sight, there should be a screw on lower right that when removed will detach let you detach the elbow from the base of the plastic tube that holds the upper attachment hose this will help you straighten it bit to free any clogging, remove the beater bar & belt, apply suction with a shop vac or another vacuum to the front tube just behind the beater bar, you should feel suction at the elbow where you detached it if it's clear. If not you may need a stiff piece of wire or something similiar to help carefully clear it out.

I've worked on many of these and they somehow seem notorious for clogging in that particular spot.

I have Bissell Powerforce Bagless Upright Vacuum. it doesn't suction well. I checked the belt. It is ok. may be clog in the hose.I don't no how to clean. can you help me please?

- Check the dirt cup to make sure it is empty.
- Your vacuum has 3 filters. Dirty filters will restrict air flow. The filters may be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent. Allow them to completely dry prior to reinstalling them. The white HEPA media post-motor filter is not washable.
- Lift the upholstery hose from the bottom holder. Check for suction at the end of the hose.
If there IS good suction at the end of the hose, please unplug your machine from the outlet and try the following:
- Ensure the hose is firmly pressed into the lower hose outlet on the back of the vacuum.
- Check to ensure the brush is rotating. If it is not, remove the plate on the bottom of the vacuum. Check the belt and clean the roller of dirt and debris.
- Check the lower hose for clogs by removing the screw which attaches it and lifting the hose up to clean it out. Also, remove the larger hose by twisting it off and using a broomstick handle, push any dirt and debris through the hose.

Check your filter. Sounds like it is not receiving enough suction to pull up the debris. If your filters are clean and there are no clogs, disconnect hose from back by the tank and see if you have suction straight out of the whole.

Its blowing air out the air filter.no suction

Check the dirt inlet down by the brush roll for a clog. Also check the hose for a clog. Usually a clog is what causes this type of problem.

Brush is not rotating.

Turn the vac over, remove the access plate, covering the brush roll, 2 to 4 screws. Brush roll part number is 2032032if you need it, belt is a Bissell Style 7. While you have the brush roll off, check in dirt inlet to see if it is clogged, also check the hose to see if it is clogged. You won't feel suction at the bag tube, it has to have a bag on it and the lid closed before it will create suction.

My bissell vacuum cleaner has lost suction...

Sounds like either the hose or the inlet down by the brush roll is clogged.
