Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
It is printing out a good line followed by two bad lines, then another good line or two, alternating throughout all the text.
I find I can change ink color and have no problems, so the issue lies with the black ink. The cartridge is still 3/4's full. I have done the usual maintenance with cleaning, etc., several times to no avail.
Am I going to have to replace the printhead? Can I do it myself, or is it too difficult or expensive. The printer was purchased in 2002 and has always been a very good one.
You need to take it a couple steps further after your test print. Sounds like your print heads need cleaning or your cartridge may need aligning. It's best to do this each time you install a new cartridge. get more information and help from here .
