Question about Kenmore KFP-70 Food Processor

1 Answer

Kenmore Food Processor Model 69703 Won't turn on

We just pulled this out of the box and can't seem to get it to turn on. It won't hum or show any signs of getting power. All cups, lids are locked.

In the instructions, it doesn't say anything about setting up or if it won't turn on.

Thank you

I had a hard time with this too.....you just have to be sure the bowl is locked in right to the base, and the cover is licked onto the bowl right, if one is not correct, the processor won't turn on, so keep fooling with it, look at the arrows and holes.

As simple as this solution was... it worked. I had it locked on just not in the right direction. Thanks!

KFP750 Food processor: motor seems to be frozen. Can it be repaired?

repairing these items are not cost effective
you can take it to an appliance repair shop but parts if available will be close to the cost of a new unit

Tip

The cusinart pro classic food processor is not working ?

Try this procedure:-- It usually goes something like this, with minor variations depending on model number:1.Remove the work bowl completely from the base
2.Plug the food processor in and turn it on
3.Use a pen to depress the dark grey/black button on the base – if it spins, proceed
4.Put the work bowl on the base with the handle facing the front of the food processor – slide the work bowl until it locks - the white tabs show in the openings on the bottom of either side of the work bowl
5.Place the lid on the work bowl with the tab slightly left of the center of the work bowl handle – slide the lid counterclockwise until it won’t slide any more
6.Place the pusher sleeve in the feeder tube of the lid with the lock facing the front of the food processor (may vary depending on model)
7.Slide the lock to the right into the locked position
The food processor should now work.
This will help.Good luck.

I have used my Kenmore food processor MAYBE 10 times. Yesterday I turned it on, lights came on but the motor just hums. Is my only choice to buy a new one? Because it sure won't be from Sears, if so.

I have the same problem with mine. It is almost certainly the motor start capacitor. I have been looking for a replacement capacitor from an outside source, but so far have had no luck. The capacitor used is an obscure size and model. I have found the manufacturer of the capacitor, but no electronic suppliers carry this brand. It is almost certainly going to be a Sears replacement part item.
