Please make sure that the program was uninstalled by going to the list of programs installed (for VIsta: Control Panel-Programs and Features) or you can check on the task bar the small icons at the lower right hand side of the screen if you still got the camera utility. If you found it there, what was most likely to have been erased was the shortcut only and you still got the program. You can click on that icon and you can start your webcam.
If it was erased, please call the laptop manufacturer for assistance regarding that program that you need to download or you can try system restore by going to Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore but that is if you know exactly when it was uninstalled if you made lots of software changes like the installation of programs within that week, or approximately if you did not make lots of software changes within that week. Anyway, you will be able to see those in the options for the restore points but please take note that software changes beyond the date that you choose will be undone. Hope this helps. Thank you.

How to disable the built-in camera notenook?

Step 1:
A laptop computer's webcam camera can be turned off or temporarily disabled for security or privacy concerns. The method varies according to the operating system you are using. iSight, for example, is a webcam that is built into Macintosh computers and is accessed through web software. After you disable iSight it will prevent any web-based software from finding or connecting to the camera. All you need is administrative access to the computer.

Click on the "Start" menu in the lower left corner of the screen if you have Microsoft Windows operating System. Select "Control Panel" and click on "System." Choose the "Hardware" tab and then select "Device Manager." Look under the menu "Imaging Devices" and locate your camera listed. Right-click on the camera device and select the disable option from the menu. Shut off Built-in Webcam on MacIntosh Operating System Click on the "System" folder on the computer's hard drive. Once in the "System" folder, click on the "Library" folder. While in the "Library" folder, click on the "Quick Time" folder. Select the "Directory" tab and find the " Quicktime USB VDC Digitizer Component" file. Form a "Temporary Backup iSight" folder onto the computer's hard drive. Copy and move the " Quicktime USB VDC Digitizer Component" file to the new back up folder. Drag the folder to the trash to erase it. Be careful that you do not erase both files or it will permanently delete it and you will not be able to access the camera again. Open a web-based software program to make sure the iSight camera is disabled.

I accidently erase all the pictures on my camera memory chip. I did not save the pictures anywhere how can I get the pictures I erase ???

I have had success with this camera pic recovery software called asoftech photo recovery, here's the tutorial

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

How do you connect dell inspiron webcams ?

I am confused by your statement. If the web camera is built in - there is nothing to connect. You might need to reinstall your camera driver or drivers. Have you tried to do this?

HP web cam software doesn't see built in camera

It might be a good idea to download the latest software for your Camera as it is never up to date when you purchase Webcams. Always get the latest software drivers/programs for new hardware.
Before you load up the new driver check for any special instructions that came with the cam as you may need to uninstall the old software first. Sounds like it's corrupted anyway. Good luck

Coolpix 5600

Put the card in your PC Card-reader for SD-cards (everybody has it nowadays - they're pretty cheap, get it if you ain't got it yet) and use any of the recovery programs available (lots of freeware on the web) for recovering your files.
