How to tighten screen
You're wanting to tighten the hinges for the screen. Either tighten them so the screen will stay in the position you set it at, or tighten the hinges from being loose in the body of the laptop.
The link below takes you to HP.com/Support,>Manuals, and the download page for the Maintenance and Service Guide.
Don't let the name 'Guide' fool you. This is an extensive service manual! It is a free download from HP.com
This is a PDF file. Your computer has Adobe Reader on it. It uses PDF files.
On the page link above, go down to -> HP Pavilion ze2000 Notebook PC, Compaq Presario M2000 Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service Guide <- in blue, and click on it. (Either one. I would click on the one that is 4.75MB in size)
After you click on it, you may not see anything happening. It's downloading. You may not see anything for 30 seconds or more.
Sometimes after about 10 seconds, the first page pops up. It's still downloading though!
Let it FULLY download before you start looking through it. If you don't, you could break the download connection.
Should you wish to save a copy, of this service manual to your computer, (So you can look at it anytime you want, or burn it off to CD disk), go up to the headings at the top.
Click on the second icon from the left. It's a Floppy disk icon.
Hovering your mouse cursor over it, will briefly reveal,
"Click to save this file to your computer or another location".
Unless you have your computer set to download to your My Documents folder, this file will be saved to your desktop screen.
It will be a yellow folder with -> c00637377.pdf <- under it.
Just double-click on it to view.
(I downloaded it just now, and it took 28 seconds to come up. I have a medium speed DSL connection)
Page 129 starts with dealing with the Display. (LCD screen and hinges)
If you get time, I would appreciate it if you would rate this solution.
