Question about Audio & Video Receivers

I have a panasonic sa-pt960 home theater system which i just purchased about 2 weeks ago. i am not getting any power into the system, i have already checked connections and tried multiple outlets for the system. everything else i have plugged into the surge protector still works. is there a history of power failure on this sound system?

    I have PS3 and i try to connect the sound system to it but it dont !

    iam not sure why ?

Did you connect the optical cable from the dvd component to the ps3?

There is a power CORD p/n K2CB2CB00006, but no external power supply.

You could search for that specific part and pay an arm and a leg for it or just go to any Radio Shack or electrical supply store and pick one up for about $8. You may even have one unused somewhere around the house.
