Question about Garmin eTrex Legend GPS Receiver
I have en etrex vista... how do I do to download the data from my gps to mi computer having allready de usb connection
There is freeware out there provided by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources that allows Garmin users to download their data in a number of different format. Search "DNRGarmin GPS Application" and follow the instructions. This is great for GIS user because it will download to a shapefile.
It has the ability to upload some data, as well. Although, I suspect there are fewer options for uploading data than, say, Mapsource.

You will need to use the Mapsource program or something like EasyGPS, or ExpertGPS. You will tell the program to download all the data from your GPS when it is connected. It will download the waypoints, routes and tracks to your computer.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
