The washing machine will wash but when it gets to spin it doesn't spin like before and it doesn't empty out the water. If you open the top while it's spinning the water bubbles because it fills up again. I've had to put it on the spin cycle like 6 times or more before it emptied. Please help

- It's an older maytag machine, will it still have a pressure switch and pressure switch cable? What do these look like? How would I know if it needs a new cable?Best Solution

hi there,
sounds the pressure switch is not sensing the water level, so the machine thinks it's still filling. check the pressure switch and pressure switch cable. it's most likely just the cable itself. the pressure switch is located behind the drum and accessible through the back panel.

- yes, it still does. the older Maytags were mostly mechanical, as opposed to electronic. the pressure switch looks like a small metal box and the wire is probably about 3 ga maybe smaller. some of the older machines actually have the cable attached to it.Yes
