Hi.

The power cord must be checked using a multimeter. The test is done reading impedance (ohms) between plug's prongs and contacts to TV power board.

If the power cord is OK and there is no power, then the problem is the power board inside the TV.

Regards.

Ginko.

LCD2710HDAF television will not respond to remote control

Hi Alan,
Here are a few steps to troubleshoot.

1) Make sure that the new batteries are correctly installed.
2) Make sure that there is a line-of-sight between the remote and the TV while operating.
3)Not recommended- but might work. Give your remote a little shake. If there is a small circuit loose connection it will be adjusted. :P I do this all the time.
4) Buy a new remote. You can buy a universal remote which are available on the market. They are cheap. It will NOT be harmful to your TV.
OR
you can buy a genuine one.

To know more about it, you have to download the repair manual to this set. Its disassemble section will give you all details. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

Hi we've got a wharfedale lcd tv and over the past 4/5days we've been noticing that the picture goes but still have sound? we've had the tv for about 3years. we've changed the fuse and swapped the leads...

If you were to shine a bright light at the screen and can see a "picture" in the background, it will probably need a new ballast unit for the backlight. If not I would look for a replacement TV.

My electric went off yesterday and when it went back on my tv wouldnt turn on it was working fine before the power cut we have changed the fuse but still nothing is there anyway i can reset it to make it...

you said you changed the fuse. (inside the tv)double check to see if its blown agian if not. keep it unplugged for about 20 minutes to reset the surge protector onboard . if you have done all that the fuse didnt protect your tv from the surge and it gone. IF ITS CONNECTED TO A SURGE PROTECTOR unplug it from that and plug directly into the wall TRY THAT FIRST let me know if this works.

My wharfedale lcd42f1080p just went bang when plugging it in!!

Sounds like something else in the power supply. The surge inrush current could have blown the bridge rectifier. (device which changes AC to a pulsating DC for the power supply). You may need to have the power supply serviced or replaced.
