Yahoo has prevented us from having 2 Instant Messaging capable programs open and active at the same time. For example, Yahoo Messenger with Yahoo Mail or Yahoo Web messenger, your mobile phone, Ipod, or other computers etc. etc. Yahoo classifies all these programs as "Different devices or locations". Navigating from one to the other will close one program and you may get the notification message you refer to. OR someone has hacked into your account- Report to Yahoo and Try to Recover it-Send report Politely and concisely.Do not try to Send More report for Same cause.. Hacking is very easy in chatrooms, especially in Yahoo! chatrooms and MSN chatrooms. Plus, your Yahoo! account can also be easily hacked from talking to strangers via Yahoo! messenger. Your IP address can also be obtained from these channels.
Hope This Helped you..I like to Know Your Feedback. Thanks for Contacting FixYa...
It is a hoax going around the world. It's some kind of hack made by someone. If you get the link from someone and you click it, you get the "messenger virus". This virus will make you unable to chat on messenger (yahoo or msn), and it will automaticly send links to all other people on your messenger list (all your friends and so on). This virus kinda destroys your messenger program, plus it makes the link go to all your friends too, meaning if they click it, they will send the virus to their friends, then if they click it, to their friends, and so on and so on.
Now, to be able to get the virus off your computer you first have to run antivirus, and then you need to redownload your yahoo/msn messenger. Then it'll all be normal again.
But, try never having it happen again. If you get a link with a text like "look, a photo of you!" or anything like it, just make sure you don't click it.
Thats happens for exactly two reasons 1. (the most common) when u are Online on Yahoo Messenger and you are checking your email in a browser. 2. Someone else uses your id and password to log on to your account.
If that happens try to change your YM password, and be very carefull where u are using the account. Never check the box "Remember my id and password ", do not log on on unsecure/unknown PC. ( some hacking software may be installed on unknown/unsecure PC like keylogger who hunts for any accounts logged on the victim PC)
I am not able to view MSN 2009 but my Yahoo mail works like this: I clicked on Contacts, the heading. This showed: Tools. Under this was the selection: Import. When I clicked this, it gave me a selection of mail servers like MS Outlook, etc. and followed the directions to import Contacts. One small bit of advice: if you were bombarded with email from spammers before, you may be opening up permission for them to hit you again. I hope this helped you.
Yes your email has most likely been hacked. This obviously means someone is reading your mail. Create a new account with a totally different user name (if your user name was leannravendon't make it leannraven2) and send an email to all of your friends to send mail to your new one and to stop sending to the old one. I don't know of any other way to fix this.
