When I print nothing shows up on the paper. I haven't used the printer for about 8 months and only printed out maybe 10 copies then. Has the ink dried up?

The ink can definitely dry up if left too long. You can try and tun the cleaning routine to see if that will make a difference. IF it doesn't then you'll have to replace your in.

Recently got two new laptops and have a existing Dell 3 in 1 photo printer all wireless. Loaded the printer software on the laptops I can print using the usb cable but it will not print wireless not sure...

make sure that both your computer and printer are both on the same network. after connect them you are most likely going to have to add the printer to the laptops. go into your control panel where it says hardware and sound and click on printer. there will be an option to add printer up at the top, click that and a new window will open up, click on the add wireless or bluetooth printer and follow the steps.

Dell 3300 adapter

Let me recap, just one more time.
Your wireless router,
You updated the firmware(most have out dated firmware from sitting in the warehouse)
Broadcast SSID
Using WPA-PSK(TKIP) Security
Mixed mode(b and g, n if available) This is needed for wireless devices to work properly.
Channels 1, 6 or 11. These channels are the channels most wireless devices work on the best(I use channel 11)
Now for the printer. Download and run this patch to completely remove the printer from your computer.

The patch is password protected. The way around the password protected zip file is to open the zip file with Winrar or 7zip(.exe file)

Restart your computer.

After router is done, now setup your wireless print server/printer.
3300 Utility
3300 Firmware
Attach the 3300 to your computer using the USB Cable and insert the 3300 disk. Follow the instructions. It should ask you for the network ID, type of security and password.
Download the proper drivers.
XP Drivers
Vista 32-bit Drivers
Install the drivers, choose network, choose I'm using a wireless print server(if you do not see this, then choose add printer and you should see it then) and follow the instructions.

Thanks for contacting Fixya

Unable to connect

On the back side of the adapter there is a small button. If you depress if for a very long time, it resets the adapter back to factory defaults. If you depress it for a shor period of time, it will print a settings page. On this settings page, look for the IP address. If the print out has, then it does not have a valid IP address. If it has, it does not have a good address. If it has an address, it has a good address. Once you are able to verify the address it has, then you can check on the computer and compare them. If the address don't match, then there will be no communication between the printer and the computer. The way to check this click start>Printers and Faxes>Right click Printer Icon>Click Properties>Choose Ports tab>scroll thur this list until you see which port the printer is using>If it does not show the IP address in this window>Highlight this port>click configure>The port will show in this windows box.

Another reason it may not join the network is because of incorrect security settings from the orginal set up of the adapter. Another reason why it may not join the network is because of fire wall settings. One way to test the fire wall settings is to temporaryily disable firewall and see if it joins. If it does, then you know you need to make some firewall setting changes.

Windows defender and Spybot are known to block certain files needed by dell printers in order to operate/print correctly.

Canon 3300 ImageRunner

Hello JohnW49
I am sorry that I cannot provide you with better news, But the Canon 3300 was never designed to have or support a "native" wireless print server. You can of course (and for far less money than Canon would charge) obtain and configure a wireless print server from any number of stores from Office Depot to WALMART. But I notice that that you did not designate your device as a 3300 " I ". The " I " is the network ready version. The company I work for is notorious for selling barebones systems and asking the service dept to install the stuff to upgrade a device from the base model to the max it can support. I guess what I am getting at is that if you have a basic IR3300 Canon device you may not only be limited from native wireless support, theoretically you might have in fact quite limited network capability. ( I apologize as I of course do not know precisely the present configuration of your device {networked or not} ) I will gladly help you further as we explore the items I have brought up. :-) I only wish to help, take care...............spinal.......

Dear carverdave

Please let me know the security center your are using, so that I can suggest you the solution.

There is a problem with the security center Which is not allowing to connect to print server.

Solution: you will have to allow print spooler service and othe services in exception in the security center.
