How do I get a vhs video to show on my tv?

Not only do you have to hook up the wires correctly, once you have them attached, you must then select the proper input source to view the video. Since TVs have multiple input sources, the remote control allows the user to select which connected input to view.

What channel should the tv be on when hooking up my dvd player?

Hello
Hook the TV to DVD player with AV cable. Select AV from the TVs menu. This is the pciutr of the AV cable. It will have three wires, and you should connect it with your DVD and TV according to its instructions. OK.

I do not have my manuel. I am trying to watch a dvd but can not seem to find the channel on my dynex to play

Which model DVD player do you have? How are you connected to the TV and what model Dynex is it?

On some older TVs, you can select AV (composite) video in by going down in the channel list past channel 2. Other TVs have several inputs (composite, component or HDMI). For those, you need to press an input or source button and advance to the input on the TV that you have connected to the player to watch the DVD. Some TVs have this button on the TV; all have it on the remote. If you do not have the original remote, you will need one with a button that can match the feature. It may take searching through all of the Dynex codes for the universal remote to enable the feature (other codes may do the basic TV functions).

There are a few TVs where you can change the source from the On-screen Menu system but those are less common.

I hope this helps.

(If you want specific advice, please provide the make and model of the DVD player and the model of the TV. I may have the manuals in my stack.)

Setting up mintek 100 dvd player to cable box to tv

Newer TVs have multiple inputs. Mr Mark is correct, you generally do not daisy-chain Audio/Video units unless you are using a recording device. Cable box to Cable input on TV. DVD player to other inputs.

Let's get some terminology out of the way. Specifically for the Mintek DVD-1600. There are NO inputs.

Coaxial Audio out (orange) is for digital audio only. Usually connects to stereo reciever for Dolby 5.1 surround sound. Not for TV.

S-Video (black w/4 small holes, 1 square) is for better quality video than composite. Use this to TV instead of Composite if you have a S-Video input on your TV.

Composite (Yellow) Older video input type. Works just fine. Connect to TV.

Audio Output ( Red & White) for analog stereo only. Goes to TV. Red=right, White=left channels.

Component Video Out (Blue, Green White) is the newest video output type in this unit. Better than S-Video. Use this option if available on your TV instead of S-Video or component.
