Question about Apple iPod nano 2nd Generation MP3 Player
I boght my ipod some 8 months ago
every thing was wrking fine until at least some 3 weeks ago then my middle button would press twice when you only press it once then it just suddenly stoped working over the last couple of days my ipod has been playing up it didnt turn on but i fixed it and this time the middle button ( the selct button) wont work when i press it. how do i fix it ? Middle button is not working/responding.....Everything else is fine.
This usually happens if the membrane of the action button deteriorates and the gold plated contacts between membrane and logic board do no longer establish good contact.
There are specialized online tutorials with iPod Repair instructions that will guide you through the steps of taking it apart and cleaning the contact or replacing the button altogether otherwise you'll have to send it to any third party iPod repair service and they'll replace the membrane for you.
