X1240 Lexmark I went to Lexmark and downloaded X1240 everything went fine ,but I have no Icon and it won't let me scan . It prints fine .Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank-you

I lost my disc to download my printer and now i cant use my print i can find my disc. so what should i do ?

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.


You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/lgJCxt. Select your operating system, download and execute the file.



Try to scan again to verify that the problem is fixed.

I have a lexmark x1240 printer i have installed on my windows xp computer and it will not print. i have tried downloading new drivers and i tried uninstalling and reinstalling printer and nothing works. it...

1st You download Printer Driver. Lexmark Printer Driver After this install the Printer driver in the system.
Installation of Printer Driver
  • Go to the control panel
  • Click on the System Icon
  • Click on the Hardware Tab
  • Click on the Device Manager then
  • Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
  • Right click on it and uninstall it.
  • After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
  • Driver installation Wizard start.
  • Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
  • Driver will be install.

Flashing power button and doesnt stop

My lexmark x1240 will not print in color

Hello,

After disconnecting the cables from the printer and restarting the computer I would suggest removing all printer related software from Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel. After that I would suggest downloading the latest drivers by following the directions below.

You should be able to get the drivers here. Just enter your exact printer model in the Search by printer model field and press Enter.

Click the Download Driver link and choose your operating system in the Select Windows field. Then on the next page, choose the Download Now link on the right.

On the next page you may see a yellow security banner at the top of the browser. If so, click it and choose Download File. After that, choose Save to start the download. After the download completes you can double click the file to start the installation.

All in one printer does not scan or copy

If the Ink Status is showing a ? symbol after you have replaced the tanks, you just need to tell the printer that you replaced tanks ,

To do that , open your lexmark solution centre from the Lexmark start menu group.

Click Maintenence

go to www.lexmark.com and click on Support: http://support.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/support.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+X1270 Under Support Tools you should see e-mail Support. Fill out the form and provide as much detail about your problem. If you have have Win Vista as your OS then call 1-800 Lexmark. If you have problems understanding the agent then I highly suggest the email or chat support. Yeah Lexmark has chat support also and they monitor all support and want to know about their agents good and bad. Can't fix what they do not know is broken and that goes for training also.
