Question about Panasonic DVD & Blu-Ray Players

1 Answer

I purchased a Panasonic DMR-EZ48VK and connected it per instructions. I was able to do the Intitial Setup, and program the Remote to recognize the TV, but now I can NOT get the Remote Programed! I follow the instructions in the instruction book but nothing happens. The remote still is not programed so I can't use the unit. Help!

The remote lost connection with DVD set. Push OK and hold while you Push #1. This will reset the remote. Connection instructions with set are wrong! After re-wiring, everything works great! I had to call Panasonic and sit on hold, but they were very nice.

I HAVE A PANASONIC DVD,VHS RECORDER MODEL #DMR-EZ48V.WHEN TRANSFER A VHS CASSETTE TO A DVD THE THUMNAILS ON THE DVD HAVE THE DATE OF 1/1/2000. HOW CAN I PUT THE ACTUAL DATE OF THE RECORDINGS ON EACH OF THE...

Try setting the clock on the remote press [FUNCTIONS] go to SETUP menu - locate the CLOCK option (it should be under 'OTHERS' in the setup) and set the current time, press [ENTER/OK] to store if necessary, then press [RETURN] to exit the setup. Once clock is set correctly, future DVD thumbnails will show the actual date/time of recording in this (and similar) model combo units. If auto clock setting is not possible, set it manually as above.

I assume in spite of the wrong date/time, your DVD recordings have been successful. Incorrect clock and date setting usually only affects timer recording for VHS.

If you have lost or misplaced your original owner's manual, you can download a free pdf version (for Region 1 model) from:

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Video/DVD-Recorders-Players/DVD-Recorders/model.DMR-EZ48VK

or, if you live outside USA, download the 'Australia/NZ' pdf version of the manual (for Region 4 model) from:

http://www.panasonic.com.au/Products/DVD+and+Blu-ray/DVD+-+Players+and+Recorders/DMR-EZ48V/Downloads

either one of these will provide you a full copy of the original user guide/setup including clock.

All free. Hope these suggestions help.

I have a Panasonic DMR-BW880 in New Zealand, expecting (for the huge amount that it cost) it would play DVDs from all regions. But it won't. Can you tell me an unlock code and how to use it please?

Hi.

This player region hack is done programming a service remote, then using the programmed remote on the unit to unlock the region. There is no way to unlock this unit using buttons on the original remote, or on the unit.

You can purchase a programmed remote kit using the link below:

Region remote kit DMR BW880.

White colour displaying as pink on DVD recorder DMR-EX77EB, problem just started a few weeks ago.

Very similar problem with my DMR-EZ27. About 10 minutes into playing back a DVD the color starts going away until I only see a black/white movie. Sometimes color comes back in partially then back to b/w

Compatibility of remote with DVD recorder?

If it doesn´t say Panasonic on the remote, you have what´s called a universal remote. It has to be programmed for your Panasonic DVD. I hope you got the instructions with it. If not, use the record button on the machine and try getting Panasonic´s own remote or another programmable one with instructions.
